Chiropractic Uganda: 2018
In 2018, Averio Health Institute led a team of healthcare professionals to Uganda to provide 5 days of complimentary, regenerative chiropractic services and assist in stocking a newly built clinic.
Averio Year in Review
SKCC (Seattle King County Clinic) is the largest free medical clinic in Washington State, providing medical, dental, vision, and Chiropractic services to at-need patients. Dr. Martin has managed the Chiropractic wing in years past for SKCC; Dr. Kotlerman co-led the Chiropractic wing in February, 2020. AHI provided adjusting tables and supplies for this event. Our doctors were joined by a number of amazing WA state D.C.’s – all who gave freely of their incredible skills and knowledge through participating in this event.
Averio CEO Anna, and Clinical Lead Dr. Kotlerman, met with a filmmaker, about the possibility of documenting the new children’s healthcare program. He was excited about the mission and ready to take on the project!
AHI ran its first Health For Our Future program! 7 families were sponsored for this incredible, life-changing care opportunity to regenerate and regain quality of life.
AHI put on a fundraiser to help cover the extensive costs of the H4OF Program: we had the honor of Dave Irish (singer-songwriter) and Dr. Ron Cole (professional trumpet player) who performed that evening.
H4OF families came back for their second, concentrated care program at AHI, the journey toward health continues!

H4OF families came back for their final concentrated care program. On Friday, we had a big party and celebrated their results, the journey, and their excitement moving forward!
“Seeing Magic” – new book by Dr. Kotlerman, and her real life journey of walking the El Camino de Santiago – during which she discovered her purpose in life: being a Doctor of Chiropractic and changing people’s lives.
A new publication by Averio! CEO Anna produced Averio’s first Children’s book, “Discover Your Amazing Brain: Health from the Inside Out!”. A book truly for all ages, empowering readers about the body’s amazing design and ability to heal and repair.
Patients can now enjoy a beautiful, dedicated active motion space at Averio Health Institute!
Our therapy protocols welcome a new piece of equipment: the addition of a cold plunge pool to aid in patient’s customized care at the Institute!
Our team traveled to Chirofest in Boise, Idaho where we enjoyed several days of empowering education, learning, meeting other professionals and continuing to grow as a team.
At Chirofest: Dr. Kotlerman and Anna participated in the first public announcement, as founding members of the soon-to-be Washington Chiropractic College: a boutique, vitalistic Chiropractic College in Washington State!

Averio presented the GRAND premiere showing of “Health For Our Future” at the Lincoln Theatre! It was a night not to be forgotten, as we honored those who made this incredible program and documentary possible!
We LOVE Chiropractic so much, that we had a custom spine window built for our new dedicated active motion space. When light pours through the spine window, you are reminded where health comes from.
Dr. Martin, Averio Founder receives the ‘Pioneer Award’ for his lifetime dedication to Chiropractic service. This award is presented to those who have many years of contributions above and beyond the call of duty and representing the best of the chiropractic profession.
Anna, Averio CEO, receives the ‘ Dr. Thomas J. Campbell Activism Award’ for her work with Health For Our Future. This award is presented to those who have done extraordinary work representing the Chiropractic profession, raising awareness of important issues, and championing the causes of its community.
Averio helps host the FIRST ever Fundraiser for Washington Chiropractic College! This amazing event was held at the Arlington Airport, WA, with well over 150 in attendance for an effort towards the World’s largest cardboard spine. Volunteers built the cardboard spine out of donated banana boxes, and we were able to represent amazing D.C.’s and D.C. to be’s in the spine for an aerial shot. All proceeds from the event went towards establishing the financial base for Washington Chiropractic College’s opening.
